Tundra Vehicle Driver Profiles
Ed Bouvier – Ed has been driving for Great White Bear Tours since 2000. He has lived in Churchill intermittently since the 1970’s. Ed now calls The Pas, Manitoba home but returns to Churchill every fall for the Polar Bear Season. Besides his love for Polar Bear observation, Ed enjoys wildlife photography, computers and woodworking.
Val Kelly – Val has been with our company since 2002. Val lived in Churchill with her family when she was young and she now resides in North Bay, Ontario. Val was also bitten by the Polar Bear bug and she like our other drivers looks forward to the annual migration to Churchill to watch the majestic animals. Val’s positive outlook on life is infectious and she truly enjoys meeting new people and traveling.
Brent Browatzke – Brent started with Great White Bear Tours in 1996, Brent like many of our drivers lived and worked in Churchill with his family at one point in his life. Brent now lives in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Brent is well known for his eagle eye and keen spotting abilities. Brent will be the first to tell you that one can never get tired of watching Polar Bears. He brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our group of drivers. Brent enjoys nature and believes very strongly in respecting the nature and environment in Churchill.
Brendan McEwan – Brendan was born and raised in Churchill and remains a resident of the community. He is an avid outdoorsman and spends all of his time enjoying the nature Churchill has to offer. Brendan spends all of this spare time outdoors so he is uniquely familiar with the wildlife and land in the Churchill area. Brendan is a first year driver with Great White Bear Tours and says it is a dream come true to drive the Polar Rovers out onto the tundra.
Kyle Walkoski – Kyle was born and raised in Churchill and moved to Winnipeg in 2003 with his family. In 2004, Kyle went to school in Ontario to become a conservation officer and graduated in May, 2007. During his years in Churchill, Kyle enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling and trapping and just about every activity you can do outdoors. Kyle has worked for Great White Bear Tours since he was young, as a labourer, guide and a driver and continues to work for the company today.
Reid Hanson – Reid was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and started driving for Great White Bear Tours in October, 2006. Reid likes four-wheeling, fishing, camping and is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys the challenges of working in the north and working with the public. Reid is a very outgoing and spontaneous individual and we are glad to have him back to drive for us again in 2007. |
